Buyer’s Advocate Commercial and Residential Inspections has performed more than 10,000 inspections. Our team has over 40 years of combined inspection experience and 50+ years of combined experience in the building trades. However, we know that experience is not enough. The building industry is constantly changing, and to stay ahead of the curve, we supplement our hands-on knowledge by participating in ongoing education each month. This allows us to offer the best possible service to our customers, service rooted in practical, hands-on experience and combined with a comprehensive, up-to-date understanding of the building industry.
Each member of our team holds the highest certification given by ASHI, and we abide by both ASHI and Illinois state Standards of Practice and Codes of Ethics. Our owner, Ted Schwartz, also teaches for ASHI, helping inspectors gain their certifications. We perform commercial, residential, mold, and Radon inspections for a wide range of properties, including condominiums, office buildings, industrial properties, new and old retail buildings, hotels, churches, gyms, and many others. Our team is available for evening and weekend appointments, and we can take payments over the phone. We also make ourselves available to our clients for calls at any time after completing our inspections.
Our Team
Our team is made of educated and experienced inspectors who share a wealth of knowledge. Each of our inspectors maintains the highest level of ASHI membership as an ACI ASHI Certified Inspector. Not only have each of our inspectors far exceeded the 250 inspections required to reach ACI certification, they continue to pursue further education. Our inspectors maintain their state license through ongoing monthly classes and passing three to four state exams per year. When you hire our team, you are hiring a network of knowledge. We consult and share knowledge with ASHI members throughout the country.
